Magic gunning for fourth straight win over Knicks

Mar 1, 2008 - 2:10 PM New York (18-40) at Orlando (37-23) 7:00 pm EST

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) - The Orlando Magic are coming off one of their worst offensive performances of the season, but a meeting with the lowly New York Knicks should help them correct their problems.

The Magic go for their fourth straight win against the Knicks when the two teams meet Saturday.

Orlando shot just 40.5 percent from the floor and was held scoreless for a 10-minute stretch during a 100-89 setback to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. It was the worst shooting performance since the Magic made just 34 percent of their shots against the Milwaukee Bucks on December 12.

However, the Magic have won each of their last three games against the Knicks, including two this season - a 10-point victory on November 9 followed by a 110-96 drubbing on December 26.

The Knicks are coming off yet another loss, a 99-93 setback to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. Zach Randolph scored a season-high 29 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.

Randolph is averaging 17.5 points and a team-high 10.2 rebounds this season for the lowly Knicks, who own the Eastern Conference's second-worst record.
