O'Neal, Suns searching for consistency vs. 76ers

Mar 1, 2008 - 2:17 PM Philadelphia (26-33) at Phoenix (39-19) 9:00 pm EST

PHOENIX (Ticker) - Acquiring Shaquille O'Neal certainly hasn't helped the Phoenix Suns find consistency.

The Suns search for a win on Saturday when they host the Philadelphia 76ers.

Since O'Neal - a 14-time All-Star - made his debut on February 20, the Suns have alternated wins and losses in five games.

The Suns once again failed to pick up consecutive victories on Wednesday, suffering a 120-103 setback to the New Orleans Hornets. Despite the loss, O'Neal had one of his best games with Phoenix, scoring 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting while grabbing seven rebounds in 32 minutes - his most playing time since joining the team.

The 76ers had a two-game win streak snapped in a 119-97 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Friday. Rodney Carney scored a season-high 18 points and tied a career high with eight rebounds.

Philadelphia is eighth in the Eastern Conference game, one-half game ahead of Atlanta for the final playoff spot.
