Pistons seeking 11th straight win over Clippers
Mar 1, 2008 - 2:21 PM Detroit (42-16) at La Clippers (19-37) 10:30 pm ESTLOS ANGELES (Ticker) - The Detroit Pistons look to continue their dominance of the Los Angeles Clippers when the teams meet Saturday.
The Pistons have won 10 straight games against the Clippers since their last loss on November 3, 2002 at the Staples Center.
Detroit enters this contest looking to close out a four-game road trip on a positive note. The Pistons, who won the first two games of the trip, endured a 103-95 loss to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Clippers suffered their fourth straight loss, 110-104, against the Denver Nuggets on Friday. Rookie Al Thornton matched a career high with 33 points off the bench and grabbed a personal-best 12 rebounds to lead Los Angeles.
Thornton is averaging just 11.4 points this season but has stepped up his play in February, averaging over 17 points during the month.
