Heat target rare winning streak vs. Kings

Mar 2, 2008 - 2:46 PM Miami (11-46) at Sacramento (26-32) 9:00 pm EST

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) - The Miami Heat try to win consecutive games for just the second time this season when they meet the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.

Miami, which last won two straight contests from December 9-10, own the league's worst record but have defeated Sacramento eight straight times. That streak includes Tuesday's 107-86 rout of the Kings, their largest win of the season.

The Heat snapped a 14-game road losing streak with a 103-93 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics on Friday. Dwyane Wade led the charge with 31 points.

Miami will try to hand Sacramento its first five-game losing streak in nearly a year as the Kings finished a five-game road trip on Friday with their fourth straight loss, a 115-106 defeat against the Dallas Mavericks. Beno Udrih and Kevin Martin each scored 25 points in the setback for the Kings.

Sacramento, which is 7-1 in its last eight home games, has not lost five in a row since March 8-16, 2007. That skid was capped by a 103-97 loss to the Heat.
