Jazz face Mavericks going for 16th straight home win

Mar 3, 2008 - 4:12 PM Dallas (39-21) at Utah (38-22) 9:00 pm EST

SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- In the last seven games, the Utah Jazz have followed up a victory with a loss. The Jazz host the Dallas Mavericks on Monday looking to put an end to that streak.

The Jazz are coming off a 113-92 road rout of the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, a day after a 12-point loss at New Orleans.

"Road victories are hard to come by, especially this year," Utah guard Deron Williams said. "We'll take them any way we can get them."

Utah has won 15 consecutive home games, dating back to a 104-98 loss to Boston on December 29. The Jazz are 25-3 at home.

The Mavericks fell to 14-18 on the road following Sunday's 108-104 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe Bryant torched Dallas for 52 points, including 30 in the fourth quarter.

The Mavericks, 5-5 in their last 10 games, are 4-3 since acquiring Jason Kidd from the New Jersey Nets.

"We are six or seven games into this thing and we are finding out more and more about how he works well," Dallas coach Avery Johnson said.
