Bobcats tries to end eight-game road skid

Mar 4, 2008 - 3:06 PM Charlotte (20-39) at Minnesota (12-46) 8:00 pm EST

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) - The Charlotte Bobcats haven't captured a win on the road in over a month and would like to put an end to that trend on Tuesday.

Charlotte, which owns the third-worst road record in the East at 4-22, pays a visit to Al Jefferson and the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Bobcats enter seeking their first win away from home since a 107-100 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on January 28 - a span of nine games. They had lost 11 road games in a row from November 7-January 4.

Jason Richardson poured in 30 points and rookie Jared Dudley added 17 and 10 rebounds in helping Charlotte end its five-game slide with Sunday's 110-98 win over Toronto.

"We're just playing out there," said Richardson, who is averaging 19.6 points against Minnesota. "We're undermanned, so we're just going out there and playing for pride right now."

Despite getting 30 points and 12 boards from Jefferson, the Timberwolves suffered their third straight loss, 111-108, at the hands of the Seattle SuperSonics in overtime.

The 6-10 Jefferson has been unstoppable at the Target Center this season, averaging 23.8 points and 12.4 rebounds while shooting 51 percent through 31 home games.
