Celtics look for first win vs. Bobcats
Nov 8, 2006 - 3:28 PM Charlotte (1-2) at Boston (0-3) 7:30 pm ESTBOSTON (Ticker) - Off to a rough start, the Boston Celtics are looking to avoid their first four-game losing streak to start a season since the 1969-70 campaign.
The Celtics will get another chance at posting their first win of the season when they face the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday.
Paul Pierce had 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a 124-117 loss to the Washington Wizards on Saturday. Boston had a 43-28 advantage on the glass but committed 23 turnovers.
The Bobcats earned their first victory of the season on Saturday as they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 92-88. Raymond Felton scored 23 points and Sean May had 14 and nine rebounds off the bench. It was Charlotte's first win over Cleveland in franchise history.
The Celtics were 2-1 against the Bobcats last season.
