James, Cavs seek fourth consecutive win
Mar 6, 2008 - 1:22 PM Cleveland (35-26) at Chicago (24-36) 7:00 pm ESTCHICAGO (Ticker) - A day after putting on an impressive show in New York, LeBron James looks to continue his MVP-type season on Thursday.
James and the Cleveland Cavaliers aim for their fourth win in a row when they visit the Chicago Bulls.
The 6-8 James was on his game Wednesday, registering 50 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds to lift Cleveland to a 119-105 win over the New York Knicks.
"I've dreamed about playing well in (Madison Square Garden) and it's overtaken of how I could ever dream about," James said. "To get a standing ovation in the greatest basketball arena in the world, it was a dream come true for me."
Cleveland is meeting Chicago for the second time in five days - James powered a fourth-quarter charge to help the Cavs post a 95-86 win on Sunday.
Former Cavalier Drew Gooden had 21 points and 14 boards and Luol Deng also scored 21 in Chicago's 112-97 triumph over the reeling Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday.
Despite all of their injuries and coaching changes, the Bulls are just 1 1/2 games behind the New Jersey Nets (26-35) for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
