Timberwolves visit Kings looking to end latest woes
Mar 7, 2008 - 4:41 PM Minnesota (12-48) at Sacramento (27-34) 10:00 pm ESTSACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The lowly Minnesota Timberwolves look to break out of their latest slump Friday when they visit the Sacramento Kings.
Minnesota has eight losing streaks of at least five games and have won back-to-back contests just once this season, forging wins against the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns on January 21 and 23.
The Timberwolves suffered their fifth straight loss Wednesday, enduring a 105-76 drubbing against the Utah Jazz.
Minnesota moved one step closer to logging the worst record in franchise history, eclipsing the 1991-92 squad that finished the season with a 15-67 record.
The Kings suffered their sixth loss in their last seven games Wednesday during a 116-109 double-overtime setback to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Beno Udrih scored 25 points to lead six players in double figures for Sacramento, who had the opportunity to win the game after taking the last shot in the fourth quarter and the first overtime.
