Roy, Blazers seek season sweep of lowly Knicks

NEW YORK (Ticker) - The Portland Trail Blazers will try to accomplish something they haven't done since the first week of January.

Portland goes for consecutive road wins on Saturday when they visit the slumping New York Knicks, who hope to put an end to a five-game losing streak.

Portland is also going for its first season sweep over New York since taking both matchups during the 2002-03 campaign.

On Friday, LaMarcus Aldridge scored 29 points, including the game-winning shot with two seconds left as the Trail Blazers picked up a rare road win with a 103-101 victory at Milwaukee.

"Just to get a win is good, but to get one on the road is even better," Aldridge said. "We had to lock down and play defense and we did that in the third and fourth quarter to get the win."

It was the Blazers' fourth road win in 14 games and just the second in nine tries away from the Rose Garden, where they own an impressive 22-9 mark.

In the first meeting February 1, Portland All-Star Brandon Roy registered his first career triple-double with 20 points, 11 assists and 10 boards in a 94-88 win.

The Knicks fell to 0-3 on their four-game homestand with Friday's 101-97 setback to the Detroit Pistons, despite having five players in double figures.

Former Blazer Zach Randolph is expected to miss his fourth game in a row due to a sore right foot, but may return for Monday's contest at Dallas.
