Still without Bosh, Raptors host Sonics

Mar 9, 2008 - 1:12 PM Seattle (16-46) at Toronto (33-28) 1:00 pm EDT

TORONTO (Ticker) - The Toronto Raptors badly need All-Star forward Chris Bosh back in the lineup.

The Raptors look to end their recent struggles without Bosh Sunday when they host the Seattle SuperSonics.

The team's leading scorer and rebounder, Bosh is averaging 22.0 points and nearly 9.0 rebounds this season but has missed the Raptors' last four games after coming out of a meeting with the Indiana Pacers on February 29 with soreness in his right knee.

Toronto lost to Indiana after Bosh departed and dropped three of the following four games without him, including a 110-106 setback to the Washington Wizards on Friday. Andrea Bargnani led the way with 27 points for the Raptors, who were outrebounded, 49-38.

The Raptors are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference standings and haven't lost much ground in the playoff race with the three teams who are in pursuit all owning sub-.500 records.

The Sonics suffered their fourth straight loss on Friday, enduring an ugly 117-83 setback to the Philadelphia 76ers. Seattle made just 2-of-10 3-pointers against the 76ers, who shot 56 percent from the field, handing the Sonics their eighth loss in 10 games.
