Pacers, Sonics aim to end losing streaks

Mar 11, 2008 - 11:57 AM Seattle (16-47) at Indiana (24-39) 7:00 pm EDT

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) - The Indiana Pacers know their playoff hopes hinge on their success over the next few weeks. The Seattle SuperSonics have no such concerns.

The Pacers will attempt to snap a three-game losing streak on Tuesday when they host the SuperSonics.

Indiana - 12th in the Eastern Conference standings and 2 1/2-games behind the eighth-place Atlanta Hawks (26-36) - completed a winless three-game road trip on Saturday with a 103-95 setback against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Danny Granger scored 19 points for Indiana in the loss.

The Pacers don't figure to get much sympathy from the floundering Sonics, who lost for the fourth straight time on Sunday - a 114-106 defeat at the hands of the Toronto Raptors.

Chris Wilcox scored 28 points and rookie Kevin Durant had 20 for Seattle, which is on pace to finish with the worst record in franchise history.
