Bucks aim for rare road win vs. Wizards

Mar 11, 2008 - 12:07 PM Milwaukee (23-40) at Washington (30-32) 7:00 pm EDT

WASHINGTON (Ticker) - The Milwaukee Bucks hope to put an end to their road struggles when they visit the Washington Wizards on Tuesday.

Milwaukee, which will be without starters Mo Williams (abdominal strain) and rookie Yi Jianlian (ankle), enters with a dismal 6-26 road record.

The Bucks have lost five of their last six games here, including three straight.

On Sunday, Milwaukee suffered its fifth defeat in six games with a 119-97 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, despite 25 points from Charlie Villanueva.

The shorthanded Wizards are aiming to bounce back after a 100-97 setback to the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday. Antawn Jamison poured in 30 points during the loss.

Things could be looking up for Washington as All-Star Caron Bulter practiced on Monday. He has missed the last 15 games with a hip injury, but no timetable has been set for his return.

Also, Washington guard Gilbert Arenas should be back in uniform by the end of this month after recovering from knee surgery.

The additions of Bulter and Arenas could give the Wizards a much needed boost heading into the Eastern Conference playoffs, where the team is likely to be the sixth or seventh seed.

Milwaukee and Washington split a pair of meetings at the Bradley Center earlier this season.
