O'Neal, Suns look to build on momentum
Mar 11, 2008 - 12:25 PM Memphis (15-47) at Phoenix (41-22) 10:00 pm EDTPHOENIX (Ticker) - The Phoenix Suns look to win consecutive games for the first time with Shaquille O'Neal on the floor when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday.
Phoenix had lost four of five before an impressive 94-87 victory over San Antonio on Sunday. With the win, the Suns improved to 4-6 since O'Neal made his Phoenix debut on February 20.
Six Suns scored in double figures led by Steve Nash, who had 19 points and 14 assists on Sunday. O'Neal added 14 points and 16 rebounds for Phoenix, which ended the game on a 14-2 run over the final 3:41 for the win.
The lowly Grizzlies are just 4-25 away from home and have lost 16 of their last 18 contests, including a 119-89 setback against the Boston Celtics on Saturday.
Hakim Warrick had 15 points and five rebounds to lead Memphis, which allowed the Celtics to shoot 58 percent from the field (47-of-81).
Phoenix has won the last six meetings in the series, including a 127-113 victory at Memphis on February 26.
