Nuggets look to get well against woeful Grizzlies

Mar 12, 2008 - 3:19 PM Memphis (15-48) at Denver (37-26) 9:00 pm EDT

DENVER (Ticker) -- The Memphis Grizzlies may be the perfect tonic for the Denver Nuggets.

After two road losses against Western Conference powers, the Nuggets return home to host the lowly Grizzlies, who are just 4-26 on the road this season. Denver has won three straight at home.

After posting a pair of impressive home wins against the Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs last week, the Nuggets fell apart in a 132-105 blowout loss at Utah on Saturday. Denver played better at San Antonio on Monday but still fell to the Spurs, 107-103.

Allen Iverson, who fractured the tip of his right ring finger in Friday's win against San Antonio, fought through his injury and led the Nuggets with 28 points on Monday.

The Grizzlies, who have dropped 15 straight away from home, began their three-game road trip with a 132-111 loss to Phoenix on Tuesday - a game in which they trailed by as many as 39 points. Rudy Gay had 20 points in the defeat.
