Mavericks look to continue home dominance of Pacers

Mar 14, 2008 - 1:51 PM Indiana (25-39) at Dallas (42-23) 8:30 pm EDT

DALLAS (Ticker) - The Dallas Mavericks have benefited from a favorable schedule lately and that trend continues Friday when the Indiana Pacers visit.

The Mavericks have consecutive blowout wins over New Jersey, New York and Charlotte by an average of 24.6 points. Dallas is seventh in the Western Conference standings and travels to league-worst Miami on Sunday.

"We're just out there having fun," Mavericks' center Erick Dampier said. "It's amazing when we're out there having fun the things that we can do as a team.

"We just have got to go out there each and every night with a consistent effort and do the things that we work on in practice. When we're moving the ball, running up and down the floor and having fun, we can play with anyone in this league."

Indiana, despite a 4-9 record in its last 13 games, is only 1 1/2 games out of eighth place in the East. The Pacers snapped a three-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 114-107 win over slumping Seattle.

Indiana ended a four-game losing streak against Dallas with a 111-107 home victory on February 23. The Pacers are 1-7 in their last eight road games against the Mavericks.
