Wolves looking for third straight road win
Mar 14, 2008 - 2:07 PM Minnesota (14-49) at Seattle (16-49) 9:00 pm EDTSEATTLE (Ticker) - The Seattle SuperSonics host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday in a matchup of the worst teams in the Northwest Division.
Both teams have had the NBA draft lottery in their sights and are expected to embark on major changes at the conclusion of the regular season.
"We know we're going home, but we have to learn from this," Sonics' forward Donyell Marshall said.
Seattle has lost six straight games and nine of 10 overall. The Sonics wrapped up a 1-6 road trip on Wednesday with a 111-82 loss at Boston, owner of the league's best record.
Seattle is 3-0 against the Timberwolves this season and is looking for its first season sweep since 1996-97.
The Timberwolves are a dismal 4-26 on the road, but have won their last two games away from home.
"We're just trying to build," Minnesota forward Craig Smith said.
