Jazz finishes four-game road swing at Nets

Mar 15, 2008 - 1:56 PM Utah (44-23) at New Jersey (27-38) 7:30 pm EDT

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) - The Utah Jazz haven't had much success on the road this season, but their East Coast trip can be considered one with a win.

Deron Williams and the Jazz wraps up its four-game tour of the Eastern Conference on Saturday against the slumping New Jersey Nets.

Behind 32 points and eight assists from Williams, Utah was able to snap the Boston Celtics' 10-game winning streak with Friday's 110-92 victory.

"(Williams) just kept driving and driving and driving and kept getting fouled and fouled and fouled. He played terrific," Utah forward Carlos Boozer said. "These are the games you circle on your calendar. It was a big win for us on the road."

In the first meeting against New Jersey, Williams had 20 points to lead four others in double figures in Utah's 102-75 triumph at home on November 19.

Richard Jefferson scored 24 points and Bostjan Nachbar chipped in 21 off the bench to help the Nets finally put an end to their six-game losing streak with a 104-99 win over Cleveland.

New Jersey enters tied with the Atlanta Hawks (27-38) for the eighth and final spot playoff in the Eastern Conference with 17 games remaining on the season.
