Redd, Bucks aim to end skid

Mar 18, 2008 - 1:16 PM Miami (11-54) at Milwaukee (23-43) 8:00 pm EDT

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) - The Milwaukee Bucks try to snap a five-game losing streak when they face the woeful Miami Heat on Tuesday.

Milwaukee was drilled, 99-77, by Boston on Saturday to lose for a season-high fifth straight time. Michael Redd, who leads the Bucks in scoring (23.3), was held to 15 on 4-of-12 shooting verses the Celtics.

An All-Star in 2004, Redd also hasn't had much success against Miami, averaging just 16.3 points in 20 contests - his lowest average against any team he has faced.

However, the eight-year veteran and his teammates will face a Heat team that has lost eight straight games.

Miami was beaten, 98-73, by Dallas on Sunday - scoring just 12 points in the first period on the way to being down, 52-30, at intermission. Earl Barron scored a career-high 21 points for a club that was without Dwyane Wade (out for season), Shawn Marion (back) and Udonis Haslem (ankle).

Milwaukee is looking to win three straight over Miami in the same season for the first time since 2002-03, and can secure a season series victory for the first time since 2003-04.
