Heat face Raptors seeking rare two-game win streak

Mar 19, 2008 - 1:20 PM Miami (12-54) at Toronto (34-33) 7:00 pm EDT

TORONTO (Ticker) - The Miami Heat try to win back-to-back games for just the second time this season on Wednesday when they visit the struggling Toronto Raptors.

The Heat snapped an eight-game losing streak on Tuesday, rallying from behind to claim a 112-106 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Miami trailed, 77-72, at the end of the the third quarter before Chris Quinn sparked a 13-0 run to open the fourth with back-to-back 3-pointers. Quinn, who is averaging just five points per game this season, finished with 19 to lead the Heat.

The Heat's only pair of consecutive victories this season came on December 9 and 10 with single-digit wins against the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns.

The Raptors are looking to snap a season-high five-game losing streak after suffering a 96-79 loss to the Utah Jazz on Monday. Jose Calderon scored 16 points to lead Toronto, which is still without forward Chris Bosh.

Bosh, who is averaging nearly 23 points and nine rebounds per game, has missed the last 10 games with a sore right knee but is hopeful to return on Wednesday. The Raptors are just 2-8 during that span.
