Pistons seek fifth straight home win over Heat

Mar 27, 2008 - 1:30 PM Miami (13-58) at Detroit (50-21) 8:00 pm EDT

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) - The Detroit Pistons hope to continue their recent home dominance against the lowly Miami Heat on Thursday.

Detroit enters riding a four-game home winning streak in the series against Miami, which has one of the worst road marks in the league at 6-29.

The Pistons look to bounce back after coming up short in Wednesday's 89-82 setback to the Toronto Raptors on the road.

Despite the loss, the Pistons clinched at least a share of the Central Division as a result of Cleveland's one-point loss to New Orleans.

"Our thing is not the division or the (Eastern Conference)," Billups said. "Our thing is the whole thing. That's the way we think."

In the last matchup here, Rasheed Wallace collected 26 points and 11 rebounds to lift Detroit to a 100-95 victory over Miami on February 6.

One statistic that doesn't bode well for the Heat - the club is 0-9 on Thursday's this season.
