Raptors look to continue home dominance of Knicks

Mar 28, 2008 - 10:33 AM New York (20-51) at Toronto (36-35) 7:00 pm EDT

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The New York Knicks will attempt to break a seven-game road losing streak against the Toronto Raptors on Friday.

The Raptors have lost seven of their last nine games, but are five games ahead of eighth-place Atlanta in the Eastern Conference. Detroit, which lost to the Raptors on Wednesday, will be the likely opponent for the team that finishes seventh.

Toronto hasn't lost at home to the slumping Knicks since March 19, 2004. The Raptors have won two of the three meetings this season behind All-Star forward Chris Bosh, who is averaging 26.7 points against New York.

The Knicks snapped a seven-game home losing streak Wednesday with a 103-96 overtime victory over Miami, owners of the league's worst record. The victory snapped New York's five-game overall slide.

"We definitely haven't given up by any means," Knicks forward David Lee said. "I don't think there's any lack of effort or any giving up on our part effort-wise and I think we're playing for pride at this point."

The Knicks are 7-27 on the road.
