Stoudemire, Suns wrap up East Coast swing

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) - The Phoenix Suns finish their four-game road trip against the Eastern Conference when they visit the New Jersey Nets on Saturday.

Phoenix snapped a four-game losing streak against the East with Friday's 107-93 victory over Philadelphia.

Amare Stoudemire scored 22 points to lead five players in double figures in the win, and the 25-year-old has led the team in scoring in nine straight contests.

Shaquille O'Neal has also been playing well as late, averaging 15.4 points and 10.6 rebounds over his last seven games.

Despite being 11 games below .500, the Nets are just 1 1/2 games behind Atlanta for the eighth and final playoff spot in the East.

While Vince Carter had 33 points and Devin Harris scored a career-high 27, New Jersey dropped a 123-115 decision to Indiana on Friday.

The Suns are looking for their second straight season-sweep of the Nets.

The last time these teams met in New Jersey, Phoenix won a 161-157 thriller in double overtime. Nash had a career-high 42 points and 13 assists in the win.

Phoenix, 23-6 against the East this season, will play its final nine games against Western Conference foes.
