Bobcats conclude road trip vs. Blazers

Mar 29, 2008 - 1:03 PM Charlotte (27-45) at Portland (38-35) 10:00 pm EDT

PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) - The Charlotte Bobcats look to cap a four-game road trip on a positive note Saturday when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers.

One of the worst road teams in the NBA, Charlotte improved to 2-1 on its tour of the Western Conference with Friday's 96-93 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics.

"We're still trying (for the playoffs). That's still our goal," Bobcats guard Raymond Felton said. "It's possible some other teams lose and we slip in there. We are in the East."

The Bobcats are just four games behind the Atlanta Hawks (32-40) for the eighth and final spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

During the first meeting with Portland in November, Felton and Jason Richardson scored 24 points apiece in a 101-92 victory.

Steve Blake scored 22 points and Jarrett Jack added 19 for the shorthanded Trial Blazers in Thursday's 111-95 setback to the Golden State Warriors.

Portland All-Star Brandon Roy is out for at least two weeks with groin and hip injuries.
