Hornets looking to turn tables on Raptors

Mar 30, 2008 - 1:00 PM New Orleans (49-22) at Toronto (37-35) 6:00 pm EDT

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The New Orleans Hornets look to remain atop the Western Conference against an opponent that has given them problems.

The Hornets visit the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, trying to snap a three-game losing streak against them over the past two seasons.

New Orleans had a five-game winning streak snapped Friday, suffering a 112-92 loss to the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Celtics.

Chris Paul collected 22 points and 10 assists to lead the Hornets (49-22), who fell into a tie with the San Antonio Spurs (50-23) for first place in the Western Conference.

Things won't get any easier against the Raptors, who won the only meeting this season, 97-92, on December 31.

Chris Bosh, who averaged 27 points in the pair of victories last season, scored 29 points and pulled down seven rebounds to pace Toronto against the Hornets in that game.

The Raptors' leading scorer and rebounder this season, Bosh had 29 points and 10 boards as Toronto picked up its second straight win with a 103-95 victory over the New York Knicks on Friday.
