James, Cavaliers look to end road skid, face Bobcats

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) - LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers hope to get their road act together before the postseason.

James and the Cavaliers look to snap a six-game road losing streak when they face the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday.

Cleveland, which defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 91-88 at home on Sunday, dropped an 85-71 decision to the Detroit Pistons the night before for its fifth straight loss away from the Quicken Loans Arena.

James, who had 26 points, nine rebounds and nine assists against the Sixers, scored just 13 against the Central Division champion Pistons.

Entering Tuesday, the Cavaliers were just three games ahead of the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors for the coveted fourth place position - and first-round homecourt advantage in the Eastern Conference.

Cleveland, which has also lost three straight here to Charlotte, may be without the services of veteran power forward Ben Wallace, who has missed three of his last four contests due to recurring back spasms.

The Bobcats lost, 104-100 on Monday against Toronto, snapping a three-game winning streak. The loss left Charlotte six games behind Atlanta for the eighth and final playoff spot in the East.

The Cavaliers are 2-1 vs. the Bobcats this season.
