Sonics go for third straight road triumph
Nov 13, 2006 - 3:19 PM Seattle (3-4) at New Jersey (3-2) 7:30 pm ESTEAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) - The Seattle SuperSonics finish their five-game eastern road trip when they take on the New Jersey Nets on Monday.
After starting their road swing with a pair of losses, the SuperSonics have won two straight and are coming off a 113-112 overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.
Ray Allen's layup with 1.2 seconds left in overtime gave Seattle its second straight victory. Allen finished with 33 points five rebounds and four assists. Rashard Lewis added 23 points.
The Nets look for their second straight win after a 105-93 victory over the Washington Wizards on Sunday. The Nets outscored the Wizards, 18-6, in overtime.
Jason Kidd led the Nets with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 18 assists while Vince Carter scored 34 points and went 5-of-8 from the arc.
