Anthony, Nuggets try to bounce back at Clippers

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets look to get back on track when they visit to the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday.

With just five games remaining, the Nuggets enter tied with Golden State (46-31) for the eighth and final postseason spot in the Western Conference.

On Sunday, Denver was on the short end of a 151-147 double-overtime loss to the Seattle SuperSonics, despite 38 points from Anthony.

In their last trip to the Staples Center, Allen Iverson scored 29 points but the Nuggets still dropped a 101-90 decision to the Clippers on November 21.

Josh Powell had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers in a 105-79 loss to the Houston Rockets on Sunday.

The Clippers might be without the services of Corey Maggette, who strained his right hamstring in the first quarter of the loss.
