Knicks eye third straight win

Apr 9, 2008 - 3:12 PM Charlotte (30-48) at New York (22-56) 7:30 pm EDT

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Knicks aim for their third straight win Wednesday when they host the Charlotte Bobcats in a matchup of Eastern Conference bottom-feeders.

The Knicks have gone 2-2 since last Wednesday's announcement that Donnie Walsh will take over as the franchise's president of basketball operations.

After dropping two road games, the Knicks have defeated two playoff teams - Orlando and Detroit - in succession to win two straight games for only the third time this season.

Rookie Wilson Chandler had 19 points and nine rebounds in Tuesday's 98-94 win over the Pistons.

Charlotte also is coming off a win Tuesday, a 121-119 triumph over Minnesota. Jason Richardson scored 36 points and Matt Carroll added 22 for the Bobcats.
