Pacers clinging to playoff hopes

Apr 11, 2008 - 3:15 PM Indiana (34-44) at Philadelphia (40-38) 7:00 pm EDT

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - With just four games remaining, the Indiana Pacers look to keep their slim playoff hopes alive when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday.

Indiana, which has won three straight contests, is two games behind the Atlanta Hawks (36-42) for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Pacers defeated the Hawks, 112-98, on Wednesday as Mike Dunleavy led six players in double figures with 28 points. Flip Murray added 20 points and 10 assists.

The Sixers have clinched a playoff spot but still have a chance to move up, as they sit one game behind the Washington Wizards (41-37) for fifth place. Philadelphia is only one game ahead of the seventh-place Toronto Raptors (39-39) as well.

Andre Iguodala had 25 points and Samuel Dalembert added 20 and 13 rebounds as Philadelphia posted a 101-94 victory over Detroit on Wednesday. It was the third double-double in the last four games for Dalembert.

Indiana has won both meetings between the teams so far this season, winning here, 110-103, on January 21.
