Teams headed to lottery meet in Memphis
Apr 12, 2008 - 1:54 PM Minnesota (20-59) at Memphis (22-57) 8:00 pm EDTMEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) - Two teams who will be in the draft lottery meet Saturday when the Memphis Grizzlies face the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Minnesota has the second-worst record in the West, while Memphis has the conference's third-worst mark.
Hakim Warrick and Kyle Lowry each poured in 17 points for the Grizzlies in Wednesday's 96-91 victory over the lowly Miami Heat.
Randy Foye had 25 points and Al Jefferson collected 18 and 11 rebounds as the Timberwolves stopped a six-game losing streak Friday with a 102-101 triumph over the playoff-bound Orlando Magic.
"It's just motivation for us to compete through the end," Minnesota coach Randy Wittman said. "We've kind of set up little goals for ourselves; our little playoff thing. Sometimes it's hard playing these last three or four games knowing you don't have anything at the end."
