The Nets will miss the playoffs for the first time since the 2000-01 season and with another loss, will have their first losing home record since that same campaign. New Jersey is 20-20 at the IZOD Center this season.
Richard Jefferson scored 24 points and Vince Carter had 21 and 10 rebounds in Saturday's 111-98 win at Milwaukee. Charlotte has won two of its past three games and is coming off a 107-103 triumph over Indiana on Saturday.
Jason Richardson scored 26 points and rookie Jared Dudley contributed a season-high 19.
If the Bobcats are victorious in their final two games they will match last season's win total, which was the highest in their four-year history. Charlotte finishes the season at home on Wednesday against Philadelphia.
