Sixers look to end three-game slide
Apr 16, 2008 - 1:35 PM Philadelphia (40-41) at Charlotte (31-50) 7:00 pm EDTCHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) - Philadelphia 76ers coach Maurice Cheeks hopes his club can get some momentum heading into the postseason.
The Sixers will look to snap their three-game losing streak when they visit the Charlotte Bobcats in Wednesday's regular-season finale.
Samuel Dalembert's controversial foul with two-tenths left led to Devin Brown's game-winning free throws as the Cleveland Cavaliers posted a 91-90 win over the Sixers on Monday.
"You feel like you just got seriously slapped in the face," Sixers forward Andre Iguodala said. "It was like we had the 'W' and it was marked off."
The loss also sent the 76ers to the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference, and a date with the Detroit Pistons (58-23) in the first round of the playoffs starting this weekend.
Charlotte also is looking to finish the season on a high note after enduring a 112-108 overtime loss at New Jersey on Tuesday. Jason Richardson had 31 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bobcats are hoping to avoid a season sweep after dropping the previous two meetings against the Sixers, who got 33 points from Iguodala in a 103-93 triumph on January 26 here.
