Knicks' miserbale season almost over

Apr 16, 2008 - 1:47 PM New York (23-58) at Indiana (35-46) 7:00 pm EDT

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) - Finally, the New York Knicks' miserable season is about to come to an end.

The Knicks close out the 2007-08 campaign on Wednesday when they visit the Indiana Pacers.

Nothing has gone right this season for New York, which is likely headed for an overhaul this offseason.

Isiah Thomas has already been replaced as team president by Donnie Walsh and could be ousted as the team's coach after the Knicks finished below .500 for the seventh consecutive season.

New York also tied a franchise record with 26 home losses this season following Monday's 99-93 setback to Boston.

The Knicks have posted just an 8-32 record away from Madison Square Garden and could tie the worst mark in team history on the road with a loss on Wednesday.

Indiana enters the game in ninth place in the Eastern Conference, falling short of a playoff appearence for the second consecutive season.
