NBA's top two scorers face off when Nets host Bucks

Nov 15, 2006 - 3:30 PM Milwaukee (3-5) at New Jersey (3-3) 7:30 pm EST

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Michael Redd is looking for another record-setting performance. But he also wants another win.

The NBA's leading scorer, Redd and the Milwaukee Bucks will take the floor against the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday.

Redd scored half of his 30 points in the fourth quarter on Tuesday, including a go-ahead three-point play, as the Bucks snapped a four-game losing streak with a 103-101 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

One game after scoring 25 of his franchise-record 57 points in the fourth of Saturday's 113-111 loss to Utah, Redd shot 10-of-22 from the field and 9-of-13 from the line. He is averaging a league-best 32 points per game and has scored 91 points in eight games in the final quarter this season.

Milwaukee forward Charlie Villanueva left the game Tuesday with six seconds left in the second period with a left elbow sprain. He did not return and is listed as day-to-day.

Vince Carter scored a season-high 38 points on Tuesday for New Jersey in a 119-113 decision to the Seattle SuperSonics. Carter is averaging 31.2 points this season, second only to Redd (32.1).

Nenad Kristic scored 21 points and Jason Kidd finished with 20 and 12 assists for the Nets, whose 51 percent (41-of-81) was overshadowed a poor effort on the glass. Seattle held a 46-34 rebounding advantage, grabbing 20 offensive boards.
