Bulls go for second straight win in San Antonio

Nov 17, 2006 - 2:33 PM Chicago (3-5) at San Antonio (6-2) 8:00 pm EST

SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) - Two in a row in San Antonio for the Chicago Bulls is not totally out of the question.

The Bulls go for just their second win here since 1998 against the Spurs on Friday.

Chicago ended a six-game losing streak in San Antonio that dated to March 14, 1998 with a 106-99 triumph here last season. The Bulls also snapped a nine-game slide overall against the Spurs.

Even though Chicago has dropped four straight road contests this campaign, San Antonio has been vulnerable at the AT&T Center in the early part of the season. The Spurs had their 16-game home winning streak against the Cleveland Cavaliers ended before falling to the Charlotte Bobcats here Wednesday.

However, the Bulls fell to 0-2 on their seven-game road trip following a 101-100 shortcoming to the Houston Rockets on Thursday. Ben Gordon scored 37 points off the bench and Luol Deng added 15 for Chicago, which nearly erased a 21-point deficit.

San Antonio suffered a 95-92 overtime loss Wednesday. Tony Parker scored 25 points and Tim Duncan collected 24 and 13 rebounds for the Spurs, who went just 2-of-17 from 3-point range.
