Top NBA Parlay for Sunday, April 17 (2022)

Apr 17, 2022 - 2:22 PM

The NBA Playoffs have arrived! Yesterday’s slate of four games wasn’t really all that exciting, and three of those four games finished by double digits. But as the playoffs continue, games will come down to the wire, and it will only get better from here.

For today’s slate, our goal is to find those teams that will blow away their opponent. Here’s our favorite parlay for Sunday’s slate on April 17 in the NBA Playoffs.

CTAs

Miami Heat (-105)

The Atlanta Hawks have been exciting. But after two extremely gruesome games in the Play-In, you’d have to expect the Miami Heat to roll over the Hawks at home in this one. The Heat already went 3-1 against the Hawks this season and won a couple of blowouts at home against Atlanta.

The Hawks are one of the better offenses in the league, but the Miami Heat is one of the more consistent defenses. The Hawks might get to the foul line at a high rate, but winning second chances on the glass will be more difficult, especially without Clint Capela. I know John Collins will return, but ultimately, the Hawks will struggle to settle in, turn the ball over more often and allow the Heat to take some wide-open looks from the field.

Let’s start the parlay with the Miami Heat.

Bet: Heat (-290 at DraftKings

Boston Celtics (-170)

Personally, I think the Celtics will beat the Nets in this first round of the playoffs. The ones claiming that people are sleeping on the Nets are absurd. The Nets have one of the highest odds to win the NBA Playoffs. If anything, people are sleeping on how well the Boston Celtics played throughout the entire second half of the season.

The Nets haven’t been great defensively, and the Celtics just have so much more chemistry as a team.

The Celtics have the best defense in the NBA, holding teams to 106.9 points per 100 possessions and holding teams to a 50.4% effective field goal percentage. Then, Boston is still above-average in every category on the offensive end and will ultimately dominate the offensive glass, knowing that the Nets are the worst team in the NBA at rebounding on the defensive end.

The Celtics got this.

Bet: Celtics (-170 at DraftKings

Milwaukee Bucks -10 (-110)

The Chicago Bulls were a cool story this season. As a roster, the Bulls were fun to watch compete. But the reality is, the Bulls cannot compete against the best of the best. The Bucks are reigning NBA champions; they are outstanding and only improved as the season progressed.

This season, the Bucks dominated the defensive glass, and Chicago has struggled to get many second chances on the offensive glass. Meanwhile, Milwaukee is just getting better overall looks and scoring at a higher percentage. Both teams should be able to limit turnovers too.

I like the Bucks to win this pretty handily. We saw three of the four games finish with double-figure margins, and if any game is ending with a margin of 11 or more, it’s this one.

Bet: Bucks -10 (-110 at DraftKings)

Parlay: (+152 at DraftKings)
