Spurs go for sixth straight win over Blazers
Nov 20, 2006 - 4:23 PM San Antonio (8-2) at Portland (5-6) 10:00 pm ESTPORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Spurs seek their sixth win in a row over the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
The Spurs have handled the Blazers of late by also winning 12 of the last 13 meetings, including six of their last seven visits to the Rose Garden.
San Antonio posted its 10th consecutive regular-season road win dating to last season with a 108-99 victory over Sacramento on Sunday. Tim Duncan scored 35 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and Tony Parker added 17 points for the Spurs, who had five players in double figures.
With an 86-68 triumph over New Jersey on Saturday, Portland snapped a four-game losing streak.
Zach Randolph collected 20 points and 16 boards and Jarrett Jack added 12 points and eight assists for the Blazers, who led 25-8 after the first quarter.
Portland is 3-1 at home while San Antonio is 5-0 on the road.
