Cavaliers look to stay hot against Raptors
Nov 22, 2006 - 2:02 PM Cleveland (8-3) at Toronto (2-8) 7:00 pm ESTTORONTO (Ticker) - The Cleveland Cavaliers look for their seventh victory in eight games when they take on the struggling Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.
Cleveland is coming off a 97-94 triumph over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday in which Drew Gooden scored a season-high 22 points and Damon Jones added 21.
LeBron James chipped in 15 for Cleveland, which shot 50 percent (37-of-74) from the floor, including 43 percent (9-of-21) from the arc.
The Raptors, who have lost six straight games, have not won since a 106-104 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on November 8.
Toronto's latest defeat came on Monday, when it dropped a 101-96 decision to the Utah Jazz.
Chris Bosh led the Raptors with 17 points while T.J. Ford added 16. Rookie Andrea Bargnani, the first overall selection in the 2006 draft, and Fred Jones chipped in 15 apiece.
