Nash, Suns square off against Paul, Hornets

PHOENIX (Ticker) - Youth meets experience Wednesday when Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns take on Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets.

The Suns have won three of their last four games after starting the season 1-5. They are coming off an exciting 113-110 triumph in Golden State on Monday as Nash hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 4.1 seconds left.

Nash finished with 19 points and a season-high 15 assists, while Raja Bell scored 22 points and Leandro Barbosa chipped in 21. Shawn Marion added 18 points and 11 rebounds for Phoenix, which made 13-of-29 3-pointers in scoring at least 104 points for the ninth time in 10 games.

The Hornets have won four straight, including a 101-86 victory against Miami on Tuesday. Peja Stojakovic scored 23 points, Desmond Mason had 17 and Bobby Jackson 14.

The reigning Rookie of the Year, Chris Paul collected 11 points and 10 assists for his sixth double-double of the young season.

The Hornets won the first meeting between the teams last season before losing the next three by a combined 83 points.
