Jazz go for seventh straight win

Nov 22, 2006 - 2:15 PM Utah (10-1) at Sacramento (5-4) 10:00 pm EST

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) - The Utah Jazz go for their seventh consecutive win in a matchup with the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.

Recent outcomes for the Jazz against the Kings have not been very positive of late. Utah has absorbed losses in its last three visits to Arco Arena and fallen short in 17 of its last 21 meetings against Sacramento.

But this Jazz band owns the league's best record and is off to the best start in franchise history.

Utah made it six in a row following a 101-96 victory over Toronto on Monday. Carlos Boozer netted 35 points and rookie Paul Millsap added 20 for the Jazz, who rallied from a 16-point deficit.

Mehmet Okur had 17 points and 13 rebounds and Deron Williams added 12 and eight assists for Utah, which owned a 51-36 advantage on the boards.

Sacramento endured its second straight loss after a 108-99 fall to San Antonio on Sunday. Ron Artest scored 22 points and Kevin Martin added 20 for the Kings, who fell to 4-1 at home.

The Kings won three of the four meetings with the Jazz last season.
