Allen, SuperSonics seek third consecutive win

Nov 24, 2006 - 4:56 PM Sacramento (5-5) at Seattle (6-7) 10:30 pm EST

SEATTLE (Ticker) - The Seattle SuperSonics are finding their stride and hope to keep that trend going on Friday.

Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis and the SuperSonics welcome in the struggling Sacramento Kings, who have lost three straight games.

Lewis recorded a season-high 35 points and 13 rebounds and Allen chipped in 23 points as the Sonics defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 95-85 on Wednesday.

Seattle will be seeking its first pair of consecutive home wins this season. But the Sonics have kept opponents under 95 points just once here.

On Wednesday, Kevin Martin scored 24 points and defensive standout Ron Artest added 19 points and four steals as Sacramento squandered a commanding 21-point lead to the Utah Jazz in a 110-101 defeat on Wednesday.

A third-year guard from Western Carolina, Martin continues to be a pleasant surprise. He leads Sacramento in scoring (23.7), field-goal percentage (52.8) and 3-point percentage (44.7).

The Kings have been hit with the injury bug again as guard Mike Bibby might be sidelined with a thigh contusion suffered in the first half of Wednesday's loss. He will be a game-time decision.

Sacramento swept the three-game season series from Seattle last year, including a 123-104 triumph here December 10.
