Knicks aim for second home win vs. road-weary Bulls

Nov 25, 2006 - 2:41 PM Chicago (3-9) at New York (5-9) 7:30 pm EST

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Knicks seem to be more comfortable playing away from Madison Square Garden, but the Chicago Bulls can't win on the road.

Hoping to improve on their 1-5 record at home, the Knicks host the road-weary Bulls on Saturday.

New York picked up its fourth road win of the season on Friday. Eddy Curry had 21 points and 10 rebounds and Steve Francis scored 22 points as the Knicks dominated the paint in a 101-77 victory over the Boston Celtics to snap a three-game losing streak.

Francis agreed to come off the bench as Jamal Crawford started Wednesday in a loss at Minnesota. However, Crawford struggled and Francis returned to his starting role Friday. The 6-5 Crawford scored only four points vs. Boston.

New York dropped its last two home contests by a combined 11 points. Despite the close losses, the Knicks fell behind early in those games and were not able to dig themselves out of a hole.

The Bulls, who are on the road while the circus is at the United Center, fell to 0-6 on their trip with a 123-108 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday. Every November, the Bulls vacate the United Center and hit the road for an extended period as the circus comes to Chicago. It has not been a good trip as the Bulls have lost the first six games by an average of 9.9 points.
