Kings eye third straight win over Blazers
Nov 25, 2006 - 2:53 PM Portland (6-7) at Sacramento (6-5) 10:00 pm ESTSACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The Sacramento Kings attempt to earn their third consecutive victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.
The Kings ended a three-game slide with a 109-100 win over the Seattle SuperSonics last Friday. Kevin Martin scored a career-high 35 points and Mike Bibby added 19, six assists and four steals for Sacramento, which forced 20 turnovers.
Shareef Abdur-Rahim had 14 points and eight rebounds and Kenny Thomas finished with 13 and 14 for the Kings, who have lost their last two home games.
The Blazers posted a 100-97 triumph over New Jersey on Wednesday. Zach Randolph netted 25 points and Jarrett Jack added 17 for Portland, which overcame a 14-point deficit.
