Spurs continue undefeated road trek vs. the SuperSonics
Nov 26, 2006 - 3:15 PM San Antonio (10-3) at Seattle (6-8) 9:00 pm ESTSEATTLE (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Spurs go for their seventh straight road victory when they travel to Key Arena to face the Seattle SuperSonics.
The Spurs begin a three-game road trip and are the only NBA team unbeaten on the road this season. San Antonio set a team record by opening the season with six straight road victories and has won 11 consecutive regular-season games on the road dating to last season.
San Antonio lost its last game, suffering a 95-92 defeat at the hands of division rival Dallas. Tim Duncan scored 29 points for the Spurs, who trailed by 14 after the first quarter and by nine at halftime.
Tony Parker added 16 points and Fabricio Oberto had 14 and 11 rebounds for San Antonio, which has won four of its last five games.
The Sonics are coming off a 109-100 loss at home to the Sacramento Kings on Friday. Rashard Lewis led the team with 26 points and Luke Ridnour added 20 for Seattle which has won two of three, but has lost three of four at home.
Ray Allen tied his season-low with 18 points and was just 6-of-22 from the field for the SuperSonics, who allowed the Kings to shoot 51 percent (43-of-84). Seattle is just 1-5 when opponents shoot 50.0 percent or better from the field.
Seattle has lost four of six overall, and four of its past five meetings vs. the Spurs, who finished with the best road record in the NBA (29-12) in 2005-06.
