Thunder still searching for first win
Nov 2, 2008 - 1:50 PM Minnesota (1-1) at Oklahoma City (0-2), 7:00 p.m. ESTOKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) -- The Oklahoma City Thunder hope to post their first win of the season when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.
The team struggled to a 20-62 record as the Seattle SuperSonics last season and this campaign appears to be more of the same for the relocated franchise.
Kevin Durant scored 26 points but the Thunder were defeated, 89-77, at Houston on Saturday as they dropped to 0-2 for the third straight year.
Minnesota also struggled last season (22-60) and will be playing its first road game of the season.
Al Jefferson has posted back-to-back double-doubles but only had 14 points and 12 rebounds in the Timberwolves' 95-85 setback against Dallas on Saturday. The 23-year-old shot 5-of-15 from the field.
Minnesota lost three of the four meetings with Seattle last season.
