Knicks look to bounce back against Bucks

Nov 2, 2008 - 1:49 PM Milwaukee (1-2) at New York (1-1), 6:00 p.m. EST

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Knicks hope to rebound at home on Sunday when they host the Milwaukee Bucks.

Under Mike D'Antoni, New York is playing at a faster tempo but the new coach has yet to instill defense, which was not his strength with the Phoenix Suns.

New York won its season opener, posting a 120-115 victory over the Miami Heat before the club was pounded, 116-87 at Philadelphia on Friday.

Highly paid point guard Stephon Marbury has not played in either of the two games and it appears his playing days as a member of the Knicks are numbered. He was deactivated from the roster before the game in Philadelphia.

Jamal Crawford leads the team in scoring at 21.5 points, while David Lee is averaging 14.5 points and 11.0 rebounds as a full-time starter.

Milwaukee is coming off a 91-87 loss in its home opener to Toronto on Saturday.

Michael Redd scored 19 points in the setback and is averaging 23.0 ppg to lead the Bucks.

New York won two of the three meetings between the teams last season.
