Clippers out for revenge against Jazz

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Clippers look to get revenge for a blowout loss on Monday when they host the Utah Jazz in the second meeting between the teams in three days.

The Clippers suffered a huge loss when guard Baron Davis suffered a hip injury in a 113-103 overtime loss to Denver on Friday, then dropped a 101-79 decision to Utah the next night.

Davis, who signed a five-year, $65 million deal in the offseason, is unlikely to return for this game. The combination of Jason Hart and rookie Mike Taylor will try to fill the void.

Like the Clippers, Utah is dealing with an injury to its star point guard. Deron Williams has not played this season, and is expected to be out until Wednesday with a sprained left ankle.

The Jazz did not miss him much on Saturday, as Ronnie Price and Brevin Knight took turns handling the ball and Utah set a franchise record for fewest turnovers in a game (5). The Jazz were also sound defensively, holding the Clippers to 3-of-20 from the field in the third quarter and 39 percent for the game.
