Cold-shooting Bulls to lean on Rose vs. Magic

Nov 3, 2008 - 2:49 PM Chicago (2-1) at Orlando (1-2) 7:00 pm. EST.

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Rookie Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls look to snap a five-game losing streak to the Orlando Magic on Monday.

The No. 1 overall pick of June's draft, Rose is coming off his best performance as a pro. The 6-3, 190-pound point guard recorded 26 points and six assists in a 96-86 win over Memphis on Saturday.

Rose, hit 11-of-20 from the floor, and has been the Bulls' most consistent shooter early in the season. Chicago was last in field goal percentage last season (43.5) and that has carried over to this season

The Bulls shot just 38 percent from the floor against Memphis. Prior to that, Chicago was held to 29 percent shooting by Boston. It will have to improve those numbers to beat the Magic, who won all four meetings last season.

While the Bulls are struggling to find their shot, Orlando is looking to build off its best offensive performance of the young season. Dwight Howard led seven players in double figures with 29 points and 14 rebounds in a 121-103 win over Sacramento on Saturday.
