Suns looking to continue road success

Nov 5, 2008 - 1:46 PM Phoenix (3-1) at Indiana (1-1) 7:00 p.m. EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Suns are off to a quick start on the strength of their road play.

The Suns look to remain perfect away from home Wednesday when they visit the Indiana Pacers.

After opening the campaign with a five-point win at San Antonio, Phoenix cruised to a much easier victory in their second contest on Tuesday.

Raja Bell scored 22 points to lead seven players in double figures as the Suns posted a dominating 114-86 triumph over the New Jersey Nets in the opener of a four-game road trip against Eastern Conference foes.

The Suns, who led the Western Conference with a 24-6 record against the East last season, have won six straight games against the Pacers since dropping a 101-83 decision on January 15, 2005.

If Indiana's home opener is any true indication of its talent, the Pacers may be poised to end that slide.

Danny Granger had 20 points and T.J. Ford added 19 and four assists to lead Indiana to a 95-79 victory over the defending champion Boston Celtics on Saturday.

Granger, who signed a five-year contract extension reportedly worth between $60-64 million on Friday, had his front teeth knocked out early in the fourth quarter during the win when diving for a loose ball. The Pacers' forward did not come out of the game and is expected to play against the Suns.
